The fourth edition of the Indian Maritime Premier League (IMPL) made a spirited comeback this year, once again uniting professionals from across India’s maritime sector in a celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork and industry camaraderie. Organized by Marex Media and powered by ATPI, the IMPL has grown into a flagship social event for the maritime fraternity — a rare platform where seafarers, crew managers, shipowners, and shore-based professionals come together beyond the constraints of boardrooms and operations.

Over the years, the league has expanded significantly in scale, reflecting its increasing popularity and the enthusiasm of the community it serves. The previous edition saw 38 teams competing through a thrilling series of group stages, eliminators and finals. This year, the excitement continues as 35 teams battle it out over two action-packed days on the 13th and 14th of December at Celebrations Sports Club in Andheri, Mumbai.

Beyond competition, the IMPL has steadily evolved into a celebration of unity, fostering strong interpersonal bonds, informal networking and cross-industry collaboration. Such connections are essential in an industry where trust, teamwork and seamless coordination are critical both onshore and at sea. The continued support of ATPI and Marex Media has ensured that the IMPL remains a recurring milestone for the maritime sector.

Speaking on ATPI’s commitment to the event, Managing Director Mr. Jeet Sawhney shared, “For ATPI, seafarer wellbeing is at the heart of every strategic decision we make, and supporting the IMPL is a natural extension of that commitment.” Emphasizing the human element behind maritime operations, he added, “Events like the IMPL give maritime professionals a chance to unwind, reconnect, and build bonds that are difficult to create in day-to-day operations.”

With each passing year, the IMPL continues to strengthen its legacy — not just as a tournament, but as a unifying force for India’s maritime community.
