On March 22nd, Ganpat University hosted an international conference titled Revitalising and Rejuvenating Bhartiya Knowledge System for Making Bharat Vishwaguru by 2047 on their campus. The ritual began with an auspicious Sanskrit prayer led by Ganpat University students, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by dignitaries.
विद्या नाम नरस्य रूपमधिकं प्रच्छन्नगुप्तं धनम् ।
विद्या भोगकरी यशः सुखकरी विद्या गुरूणां गुरुः ॥
विद्या बन्धुजनो विदेशगमने विद्या परं दैवतम् ।
विद्या राजसु पूज्यते न हि धनं विद्याविहीनः पशुः ॥
The occasion honoured prominent visitors such as Shri Madhvendra Singh, FCIArb, CEO of Gujarat Maritime Cluster, Dr. Shruti Anerao, Head Dharohar I.K.S., and Mr. Mainik Khushu, AVP – International Business at HSBC, among others. A virtual appreciation letter was also extended to Shri N. M. Khandelwal, Senior Research Fellow Cum Director at the Global Centre for Indian Management, Department of Business Management, who attended virtually.
Dr. Kiran Amin, Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor & Executive Dean (FoET), welcomed all attendees and highlighted the significant participation, which included 328 entries, 119 paper submissions, and 67 accepted papers, as well as 82 poster submissions and 22 entries from seven different states, including contributions from Russia.
Dr. Mahendra Sharma, Director General and Pro Chancellor at Ganpat University, presented the ceremonial address and emphasised the necessity of sustaining Bhartiya wisdom and tradition in all aspects of society. He emphasised the university’s dedication to putting students first and encouraging character development, repeating the concept of “Student First, Character Must.”
The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Gujarat Maritime Cluster and Ganpat University, which represents a joint effort towards information diffusion and academic advancement, was a watershed event in the ceremony.
Guest of Honour Shri Madhvendra Singh, FCIArb, CEO of Gujarat Maritime Cluster, praised the university’s emphasis on heritage and its ambitious goal of making India Vishwaguru by 2047. He emphasised the value of efficiency and diversity in accomplishing this goal.
The ceremony was graced with a message from Chief Guest Shri Banchha Nidhi Pani, Commissioner of Technical Education, Education Department, Government of Gujarat.
Padma Shri Ganpat Patel (Dada), Honorary Patron-in-Chief and President of Ganpat University, presented the Presidential Address, emphasising the importance of the Bhartiya Gyan Parampara and calling for the development of ideals inherent in Indian heritage.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks from Prof (Dr) Saurabh Dave, Pro Vice Chancellor of Ganpat University, followed by the national anthem.
