In a heartwarming display of social commitment, DLABS Diagnostics Centre has launched a special annual health check-up program for retired members of the Leo Barnes Union of Seafarers of India (LUSI). This initiative aims to provide preventive health services to ensure the continued wellness of India’s maritime heroes who have contributed significantly to the nation’s maritime strength.
The health check-up package includes a range of services designed to assess vital health parameters and detect early signs of common chronic conditions. These services include:
- Physical Examination
- Fasting Blood Sugar Test
- Electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Serum Creatinine
- Blood Pressure
- Urine Routine Examination
Dr Ushas Kumar G, Director of DLABS Diagnostics Centre, expressed his organization’s commitment to the health and well-being of retired seafarers. “We believe that our seafarers deserve continued support even after retirement,” he said. “Through this initiative, we aim to provide preventive health services that can help ensure their continued wellness.”
To facilitate this program, DLABS Diagnostics Centre has requested the Leo Barnes Union of Seafarers of India to submit an official request letter each year, along with the names and relevant details of eligible retired seafarers. This will enable the centre to coordinate and schedule appointments in an efficient and respectful manner.
The program will be carried out by certified healthcare professionals using approved equipment and procedures. DLABS Diagnostics Centre has assured that the health check-ups will be conducted with the utmost care and attention to detail.
This initiative is a testament to DLABS Diagnostics Centre’s commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to serving the health needs of India’s maritime community.
