The Three Bees Research Foundation (TBRF) celebrated the International Day of the Seafarer 2025 with a plantation drive and awareness campaign in Sector 44-C, Chandigarh. The event honoured the courage and contributions of seafarers worldwide, aligning with the IMO’s 2025 campaign My Harassment-Free Ship and the World Maritime Day theme Our Ocean, Our Obligation, Our Opportunity.

TBRF planted 25-30 native tree saplings, including Banyan, Peepal, Neem, and Arjuna trees, as part of its Greener Earth Campaign.

Capt. K.S. Rai, Co-Founder of TBRF, paid heartfelt tribute to seafarers, acknowledging their bravery and dedication despite challenges like geopolitical unrest and piracy zones.

TBRF has trained over 130 seafarers and counselled 200-300 young aspirants since 2015, achieving a 99% satisfaction rate.

TBRF promotes awareness of maritime culture and inland waterways among students, encouraging careers in offshore and shore-based sectors.

TBRF calls upon India’s youth to become torchbearers of maritime progress while nurturing environmental responsibility. “This is not just about trees or training,” said the TBRF team, “It’s about nurturing Green Minds and Blue Futures.
