On June 18, Stray Partners unveiled Alive Health, an innovative digital platform aimed at enhancing seafarer well-being and optimizing organizational performance in the maritime industry. Developed with insights from 115 global experts, Alive Health supports 45 languages and operates seamlessly in low-bandwidth environments. Offering a comprehensive suite of solutions encompassing onboarding, surveys, analytics, and on-demand learning, it addresses health, safety, and skill development while fostering operational efficiency. In alignment with Prime Minister Modi’s Maritime India Vision 2030, FOSMA and MASSA members are proud to receive free access to this global life science platform, advancing health, safety, and performance across the sector.

Launching the proceedings with an inspiring opening, Capt. Rajesh Tandon, CEO of FOSMA, emphasized the importance of health and well-being in the demanding maritime sector, highlighting Alive Health’s role in improving crew welfare and productivity. “A healthy crew is a happy crew,” he remarked. “A healthy crew’s performances are better, and it means more productivity and eventually profits for every organization.” Tandon further noted, “With the kind of membership FOSMA and MASSA have, I think we should be able to take benefit out of this product.”

The event also featured insights from Mr. Shyam Jagannathan, IAS, Director General of Shipping, who highlighted the longstanding maritime partnership between India and Norway. “Collaborative efforts between India and Norway can significantly advance green maritime goals and sustainable practices,” he said. Mr. Jagannathan outlined key initiatives like the Green Coastal Shipping Program and Green Voyage 2050, emphasizing the critical role of wellness in maritime operations. His presentation called for enhanced technology sharing, shipbuilding capabilities, and structured wellness programs to bolster India’s Maritime Vision 2030.

Representing Norway, Consul General Ms. Monica Nagelgaard underscored the success of collaborative initiatives, including the Green Voyage 2050 Accelerator Programme, and highlighted significant strides towards gender inclusivity in India’s maritime sector. “Moving forward, both India and Norway are well-positioned to deepen our cooperation through enhanced policy dialogues, joint research, and capacity-building initiatives,” she noted. Her speech emphasized Norway’s leadership in green maritime technology and underscored the shared commitment to decarbonization and digital transformation.

Mr Adrian Stray, CEO of Stray Partners, presented Alive Health as a groundbreaking tool that combines health insights, mental health support, and training modules within a secure, user-friendly framework. He demonstrated the platform’s intuitive features, such as real-time analytics, benchmarking capabilities, and multilingual adaptability, which ensure seamless global application. Stray emphasized Alive Health’s potential to address maritime challenges by integrating wellness into safety and operational outcomes.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Capt Shiv Halbe, CEO of MASSA, reinforcing the importance of collaborative innovation. Attendees expressed optimism about Alive Health’s ability to transform crew welfare, drive operational efficiency, and align with sustainability goals.
