The Forward Seamen’s Union of India (FSUI) has taken a significant step towards promoting inclusivity in the maritime industry with the launch of its Women’s Wing. The initiative was announced on May 18th, International Day for Women in Maritime, by FSUI General Secretary Mr Manoj Yadav.
The FSUI Women’s Wing aims to amplify the contributions of women in the maritime sector while supporting the collective interests of all Indian seafarers. The wing’s working committee comprises inspiring professionals:

This campaign highlights the wing’s commitment to inclusive progress, where every seafarer, regardless of gender, can thrive under safe and supportive systems. The FSUI Women’s Wing invites seafarers, allies, and industry stakeholders to join and support this growing movement, charting a course for a more diverse and equitable maritime industry.
By promoting women’s empowerment and advocating for seafarers’ rights, the FSUI Women’s Wing is set to make a lasting impact on the maritime sector. As the industry adapts to new challenges and opportunities, this initiative stands as a beacon of constructive change, collaborative, committed, and courageous.
