THE KING has been graciously pleased to give orders for the following promotions in, and appointments to, the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire: O.B.E.
Monica KOHLI, President, Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA) UK; and Chair, Indian Maritime Association UK- For services to Promoting Diversity in the Maritime Industry.
Kohli is a solicitor who specializes in Maritime Law. She studied Maritime Law at the University of Southampton, and has an MBA in Shipping & Logistics from Copenhagen University.
Through WISTA UK, Kohli has taken many initiatives to promote women in Nautical & Engineering cadetships.
