These accolades celebrated outstanding academic performance, exemplary leadership qualities, and significant contributions to both the institute’s progress and broader societal welfare. This segment of the ceremony was a testament to the high standards of excellence upheld by TMI and the remarkable accomplishments of its cadets.
A poignant moment occurred when each cadet from the graduating batches was presented with a souvenir symbolising the end of their adventure at TMI. These tokens provided as physical mementos of the relationships formed, obstacles conquered, and lessons acquired throughout their time at the institute.
The chief guest emphasised TMI’s prestigious reputation and significant accomplishments over the last 25 years, which have placed the institute at the forefront of maritime education. He emphasised that, in addition to providing technical information, TMI strives to develop well-rounded professionals who value ethics, leadership, and environmental stewardship. He also encouraged the graduates to carry the characteristics and ideas that identify a TMI graduate into their employment, such as integrity, discipline, teamwork, and a passion for knowledge.
During the valedictory address, cadets from the ME, NS, and DNS batches discussed their transforming experiences at TMI, emphasising the enormous changes in their personalities. They affirmed a commitment to upholding and applying the ideals and lessons learnt at TMI as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.
As the ceremony concluded, a mix of emotions filled the air, with both cadets and teachers reflecting on the sad moment of leave and the exhilaration of heading on new experiences at sea. The celebration ended on a cheerful tone, praising the cadets’ past accomplishments and looking ahead to their bright futures.
Tolani Maritime Institute sends heartfelt congratulations to the graduating cadets and wishes them continued success in their future endeavours.
